Halfsheet famous World War II propaganda poster for the
7th War Loan drive, created in 1945.
Poster Details

Artist: The poster was painted by American commercial illustrator Cecil Calvert (C.C.) Beall.
Inspiration: The artwork is based on Joe Rosenthal's iconic Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph of U.S. Marines raising the second American flag on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima on February 23, 1945.
Purpose: The poster, with the slogan "Now... All Together," was commissioned by the U.S. Treasury Department to encourage Americans to buy war bonds and support the war effort in the Pacific, even after victory in Europe (V-E Day) in May 1945.
Impact: The 7th War Loan drive was a huge success, raising over $26 billion in 48 days, more than officials expected.
