Nordiska Spelen
Posterteam One Sheet stone litho vintage poster for the
Nordiska Spelen (Nordic Games) that was scheduled to take place in Stockholm from February 8–16, 1930. The artwork, which depicts a man ice skating at speed, was designed by the Swedish artist and cartoonist Gunnar Widholm.
Event Details
The Nordic Games were a significant international winter sports competition and a direct forerunner to the modern Olympic Winter Games. They were held periodically from 1901 to 1926, primarily in Stockholm.

Status: The 1930 event, however, was canceled due to a lack of favorable weather conditions.
Scheduled Competitions: The poster lists a variety of international competitions including skiing, speed skating, ice yachting, bandy, ice hockey, and equestrian events.
