Silence Of The Lambs
Quad critically acclaimed 1991 American psychological horror film directed by Jonathan Demme, based on the 1988 novel by Thomas Harris. The movie stars Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling, a young FBI trainee, and Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant but incarcerated cannibalistic serial killer. Starling seeks Lecter's help to profile and capture another serial killer known as "Buffalo Bill", who skins his female victims. The film follows the tense psychological relationship between Starling and Lecter as she navigates a male-dominated world and her own personal trauma to solve the case. Noted for its compelling narrative and powerful performances, the movie became a cultural touchstone and made history by winning all five top Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay. The iconic poster features the lead actors with a death's-head hawk moth, a significant symbol in the film related to the killer's motives.
