psychedelic rock concert poster for The Quicksilver Messenger Service and The Great Society performing at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. The shows took place on September 9th and 10th, 1966.
Poster Details

Artists: The poster was designed by the notable psychedelic poster artists Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley (Mouse! Studs!).
Design Inspiration: The central image of the Native American chief (often referred to as the "Indian" poster) was adapted by the artists from a 1926 photograph by Edward Curtis.
Promoter/Publisher: The concert was presented by The Throck (Family Dog Productions), indicated by the logo in the top left corner.
Catalog Number: The original poster is known in the collector community as "Family Dog Presents" series FD-25.
Collectibility: Original first printings were made before the concert on vellum paper by the Bindweed Press and are highly collectible. Later printings and reproductions also exist.
