Vonetta
Window card vintage theatrical poster for the British music hall
magician and illusionist known as "The Incomparable Vonetta". Her real name was Etta Paul (née Ion), and she performed in the early 1900s.
The poster was printed by David Allen & Sons in Belfast around 1905–1910. The small red devilish imps in the background are a recurring theme in some of her posters, often with varying expressions of surprise or amusement related to the magic she performed. Vonetta was known as the "World's Only Lady Illusionist" and presented elaborate acts that included quick-change routines and floating illusions.
