Slime People
One sheet movie poster for the 1963 science fiction/horror film,
"The Slime People". The film is an American, low-budget B-movie notable for being the only film directed by its star, Robert Hutton.
Movie Overview

Plot: The film follows a small group of survivors in Los Angeles after the city is cut off by a "dome of fog" created by subterranean, reptilian creatures. These "Slime People" were driven from their underground homes by nuclear testing and are attempting to lower the surface temperature to make it habitable for themselves.
Key Cast:
Robert Hutton as Tom Gregory (also the director)
Les Tremayne as Norman Tolliver
Robert Burton as Prof. Galbraith
Susan Hart as Lisa Galbraith
Production Notes: The movie was filmed on a very low budget, reportedly running out of money after only nine days of shooting, resulting in the cast and stuntmen agreeing to finish the film without pay. Half the budget was spent on the creature costumes, which many reviews note are decent, but the film is infamous for its excessive use of fog machines to hide cheap production values, often making the action difficult to see.
Legacy: The film gained a cult following and was later featured on the first season of the television show Mystery Science Theater 3000.
