Basis: The movie is a musical fantasy comedy based on the 1938 novel of the same name by T. H. White, which is inspired by the Arthurian legends.
Plot: The story follows an orphaned boy named Arthur, also known as "Wart," who meets the eccentric and powerful wizard Merlin. Merlin takes it upon himself to educate Wart, who later inadvertently pulls an enchanted sword from an anvil embedded in a stone, revealing his destiny as England's rightful king.
Cast: The film features the voice talents of Sebastian Cabot as the Narrator and Sir Ector, Karl Swenson as Merlin, Rickie Sorensen as Arthur (Wart), and Junius Matthews as the highly educated owl Archimedes.
