Olympic Oslo
One sheet official poster for the VI Olympic Winter Games, held in Oslo, Norway, in 1952. The poster was designed by the Norwegian artist Knut Yran.
About the Poster

Design: The iconic design depicts two crossed ski poles, a central motif given that Norway is considered the "homeland of ski sports". The poles feature the Olympic rings and the Norwegian national flag. In the background, three radio masts from Tryvann are visible.
Production: The poster was produced as a 13-color lithograph, and approximately 30,000 copies were made in seven different languages.
