Poster Artwork and History
The artwork was designed by Allan Terk, a Hells Angel member and artist also known by his nickname, "Gut". The central image of the poster is positioned to resemble the back of a Hells Angel's motorcycle jacket, featuring the official "Death's Head" insignia.
This poster is a significant piece of psychedelic rock history, listed as AOR 2.247 in the definitive guide The Art of Rock. Original first printings were made on vellum paper by the Bindweed Press. Reprints exist, notably a 1973 version, which can be distinguished by a "© Hells Angels Frisco 1973" credit in the lower left corner and a thinner paper stock.
