Lake Tahoe
One sheet
vintage promotional map/poster titled "Ski Resorts in the Reno-Lake Tahoe Area". This rare, mid-century map was published as a compliment of the Sierra Pacific Power Company and was illustrated by Ren Wicks.
The map lists 19 different ski resorts that were operating at the time, the majority of which featured only rope tows, Poma lifts, and T-bars. Many of these resorts are no longer in operation today, having either closed down or been consolidated into the larger resorts found in the area now.
Key information from the map includes:

Location: Resorts located within a one-hour drive of Reno, Nevada.
Time Period: The map is estimated to be from around 1960, a period when many smaller ski areas were prominent before consolidation became common.
Featured Resorts: The list includes well-known current resorts like Squaw Valley (now Palisades Tahoe), Heavenly Valley, Mt. Rose, Boreal Ridge, and Sugar Bowl, as well as lost areas such as Tannenbaum, Powder Bowl, Magic Carpet, and Tahoe Ski Bowl.
