One sheet vintage advertising poster for
Liqueur Menthe-Pastille, an original mint liqueur created by French pharmacist Emile Giffard in Angers in 1885. The poster was designed by the notable French artist Misti (Ferdinand Mifliez) around 1895–1905.

Product History: Emile Giffard developed the pure, clear, and refined white mint liqueur from steam-distilled Mitcham peppermint leaves to help customers refresh themselves in the summer heat and aid digestion.

Artwork Description: The Art Nouveau-style illustration features an elegant lady in a green dress cheerfully pouring herself a glass of the liqueur, while a small cupid or angel figure with a quiver looks up at her, begging for some of the drink.
