The Film and Its Plot
Release and Production: The movie was released in 1970 and was a co-production between Hammer Film Productions and American International Pictures. It is the first installment of the "Karnstein Trilogy" of films, which were noted for their explicit depiction of lesbian vampire themes, a daring subject for the time.
Synopsis: The story follows the ancient female vampire Mircalla Karnstein, who reappears in a remote Austrian village after her family was eradicated years prior. Under various aliases, such as Marcilla and Carmilla, she ingratiates herself into wealthy households by faking carriage accidents for her "mother," who leaves her in the care of unsuspecting aristocrats.
Vampirism: Once inside, she seduces and preys upon the beautiful young women of the house, draining them of their blood. One such victim is the daughter of General von Spielsdorf (Peter Cushing), who vows revenge. Eventually, the General teams up with Baron Hartog, an expert vampire killer, to locate Carmilla's hidden grave and destroy her forever.

VI) The Client may not disclose or distribute this Evaluation Report to any potential purchasers of the subject property without first obtaining PM-LAPG's prior written consent.
