The "Red" and "Blue" Albums
Released simultaneously on April 2, 1973, these double LPs were created by Apple Records and EMI/Capitol in response to a popular four-record bootleg collection called Alpha Omega.
1962–1966 (The Red Album): Focuses on the band's early "Beatlemania" and studio experimentation years.
1967–1970 (The Blue Album): Covers their later, more psychedelic and complex musical period.

The posters feature the identical poses of the band members looking down a stairwell, highlighting their dramatic visual transformation over six years:

The Photos: The "Red" photo is an outtake from the 1963 shoot for their debut album, Please Please Me. The "Blue" photo was taken in May 1969, originally intended for the shelved Get Back album project.
