Plot Summary
The story follows a U.S. spaceship returning from Venus that crash-lands off the coast of Sicily. A small, gelatinous mass brought back from the planet hatches into a reptilian creature that grows at an extraordinary rate due to Earth's atmosphere. The creature, which is generally harmless unless provoked, eventually rampages through Rome, leading to a final showdown at the Colosseum. The Monster: Ymir
