Undersea Kingdom
One sheet poster is for
Undersea Kingdom, a 1936 science-fiction film serial produced by Republic Pictures. Released to compete with Universal's Flash Gordon, it features 12 "amazing episodes" (chapters) following the adventures of Navy Lieutenant Ray "Crash" Corrigan as he discovers the lost continent of Atlantis.
Plot & Cast
The story begins after a series of suspicious earthquakes. Professor Norton leads an expedition in a rocket-powered "super-submarine" to find their source, discovering a dry, technologically advanced kingdom beneath the ocean floor. Once there, the crew becomes embroiled in a civil war between the noble Sharad (leader of the White Robes) and the villainous usurper Unga Khan (leader of the Black Robes), who intends to conquer the surface world.

Ray "Crash" Corrigan: The heroic lead, a star athlete and Navy lieutenant.
Lois Wilde: Diana Compton, a "go-getting" reporter accompanying the expedition.

C. Montague Shaw: Professor Norton, the scientist and inventor of the submarine.
Lee Van Atta: Billy Norton, the professor's young son who stows away on the mission.
