Artist: Stan Galli (Stanley Walter Galli, 1912–2009). A San Francisco native, Galli was one of United Airlines' most prolific and well-known artists, favored for his realistic style that evoked a sense of romanticism for Western destinations.

Significance: Galli was a founding member of the San Francisco Society of Illustrators and was inducted into the national Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame in 1981
