Pygmies Sous La Lune
Fine art Pygmées sous la Lune
is a 1972 color wash, etching, and aquatint print by the Spanish artist Joan Miró. The work is a prime example of Miró's abstract surrealist style, which features biomorphic forms, geometric shapes, and a wandering linear style. The title translates to "Pygmies Under the Moon".
The print was created in an edition of 50, with some impressions marked "HC" (hors commerce). It was printed by Arte Adrien Maeght in Paris and published by Maeght éditeur. The work is referenced as Dupin 562 in the artist's catalogue raisonné.
