Summer
Fine Art, Joan Miro L'été (meaning "Summer") is an original lithograph by the Spanish surrealist artist Joan Miró, created in 1938. The work was printed by Mourlot Frères in Paris and published in the art revue Verve (volume 1, number 3). Miró was one of four artists commissioned to create a composition for the four seasons, and he chose summer.
The artwork was created during the Spanish Civil War, and though it features the cheerful colors often associated with Miró, the piece also reflects the pain and aggression of the time. Miró referred to the works from this period as his "wild oeuvre"
