One sheet poster titled
"In London's country; village life," designed by the artist and author Len Deighton (Leonard Cyril Deighton) in 1957.
Commissioned by London Transport, the poster was created to promote travel to the villages surrounding London, depicting them as an "antidote" to the city's crowded streets. Deighton, who is best known as a spy novelist, was an accomplished graphic designer and illustrator early in his career.
