Plot Summary
Set 30 years after the events of The Mummy's Hand, an elderly High Priest Andoheb (George Zucco) sends his successor, Mehemet Bey (Turhan Bey), and the mummy Kharis (Lon Chaney Jr.) to the United States to take revenge on the Banning family and other members of the original archaeological expedition. Kharis goes on a killing spree, eliminating the surviving expedition members, including the now-elderly Stephen Banning and Babe Hanson. The mission is complicated when Mehemet Bey becomes infatuated with John Banning's fiancée, Isobel (Elyse Knox), and plots to make her his immortal bride, ultimately leading to a confrontation with a torch-wielding mob. |
