Release Date: The film was released in the United States on December 12, 1941.
Director: George Waggner directed and produced the film.
Plot: The story follows Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.), who returns to his family estate in Wales and is bitten by a werewolf (Bela Lugosi) while trying to rescue a woman. He is then cursed to transform into a werewolf under the full moon and terrorize the local countryside.
Cast: The film stars Lon Chaney Jr. in the title role, alongside an impressive supporting cast including:

Warren William as Dr. Lloyd
Ralph Bellamy as Captain Paul Montford
Patric Knowles as Frank Andrews

Legacy: The film is noted for establishing much of the werewolf mythology common today, such as the use of silver to defeat the creature. It was a massive hit and led to numerous sequels and remakes, including a 2010 film and a 2025 reboot.
