"Streamline" by Robert Hoppe, 1986. Original illustration, acrylic airbrush on a surface similar to GatorBoard. Signed at lower right in paint and identified on verso in pencil.
Artwork suffered a severe puncture at mid-left center. The damaged occurred in the sky area and is an irregular triangular shape approximately 4 inches long and 3 inches wide. |
| Irregular fragments surrounding the perimeter of the damage were removed using a scalpel. A portion of the intact damage area was saved and used in creating the new structure. Solid foam, filling compound and adhesive were used to complete the surface.
In-painting restoration with acrylic airbrush paint was done to complete the image. |
