MICK JAGGER AND KEITH RICHARDS

GESSO AND BLACK PAINT ON CANVAS, RECEIVED HAND CARRIED BY CLIENT, BADLY FOLDED AND VERY DIRTY.
AS PER CLIENT INSTRUCTIONS, MUCH OF THE EXCESS MATERIAL WAS REMOVED, REMAINING ART WAS CAREFULLY STEAM-IRONED BY HAND AND ROLLED AROUND A TUBE FOR TEMPORARY STORAGE WHILE STRETCHER BARS WERE MADE AND ASSEMBLED. PAINTING WAS THEN STRETCHED IN A "GALLERY-WRAP" STYLE AND SOAKED FRONT AND BACK WITH WATER. AN "AIR-ERASER" WAS USED TO REMOVE MOST OF THE BLACK PAINT OF THE 3 CIGARETTES, GESSO WAS THEN APPLIED WITH A BRUSH TO FURTHER COVER THE APPEARANCE OF THE CIGARETTES. LOCAL MASKING WAS PERFORMED USING REMOVABLE TAPE AND AIRBRUSH WAS USED TO BLEND THE ALTERATIONS.
