Sing Sing Electric Chair

Andy Warhol, silkscreen, 1971, fine art. This image is a seminal work of art by Warhol that asked questions regarding the death penalty in America in the 60's when New York State carried out it's last death penalties. It was also a comment on the schadenfreude we derive from the death penalty. Warhol denied any and all political motivation about any of his work to the press.
