DANTE'S INFERNO
US INSERT, horror, fantasy
Verso image of the insert.
A microscopic side image of the insert's border. Here we can see the layers of conservation paper. On the bottom of the image we see a long-fibered paper (probably Okawara or Mulberry). Just above that we see a middle layer which is white. This appears to be a layer of conservation paper such as masa which has been added for strength and thickness. The top layer is the poster itself.
Microscopic image between the apostrophe in the title.
Microscopic image of damage to the insert under the R in "Inferno".
Microscopic image of the Fox logo.
We have imprinted a unique mark on the back of this poster in the lower left corner, and under the microscope have documented the uniqueness of this mark.

Conclusion

This restoration/conservation was NOT performed by Poster Mountain Inc. This insert has been paper-backed with a significant amount of restoration throughout. Notably restored is an area in the woman's chest at lower left where someone had crudely drawn breasts with perhaps a ball-point pen. This graffiti was covered with restorative media. The insert appears to have been folded in at least two places, this has been nicely restored. The entire border has been airbrushed with heavy-bodied acrylic paint.
