JAPANESE WOODCUT, THE GHOST OF TOMOMORI ATTACKING YOSHITSUNE'S SHIP AT DAIMOTSU BAY, ALSO TITLED AS: BENKEI THROWING A VENGEFUL GHOST FROM A BOAT, C.1805, ARTIST MASAYOSHI KITAO (1764-1824), ATTACHED TO RED PAPER AT FOUR CORNERS, COLORS HAVE FADED DUE TO SUN EXPOSURE.
Red colors have been enhanced using transparent airbrush color.
Print has been washed with water and mounted to Okawara paper using a combination PVA adhesive.

Procedures

Art was researched and removed from frame and separated from red paper. Woodcut was then washed with water and mounted to Okawara paper using a proprietary blend PVA adhesive.
Red colors were enhanced using transparent airbrush color.
