Procedures
TACTILE AND PHYSICAL EXAMINATION, EXAMINATION WITH LIGHT TABLE, BLACK LIGHT, DIGITAL IMAGING AND MICROSCOPIC PHOTOGRAPHY.Conclusion
This is a reproduction printed from an ink jet (non impact) printer in a style intending to replicate an offset lithography process.Microscopic examination reveals areas of white that display the characteristic CMYK printer pattern spray. Text edges and fine print are blurred and solid colors are not true.
Under a black light the card fluoresces and shows that the border has been airbrushed, and a yellow section at lower right has also been altered.
A small cross section was cut and examined - The modern printer paper is clearly seen on top of the older backing paper.
A large continuous dark wave pattern appears very prominently under black light; it is also slightly visible to the naked eye.
