Japanese Snoopy
Halfsheet Japanese movie poster for the 1977 animated film, Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown!
, the third feature-length film based on the Peanuts comic strip. The Japanese title on the poster translates to "Ganbare! Sun?p?" (Go for it, Snoopy!).
Plot Summary
The film follows the entire Peanuts gang as they head to Camp Remote in the mountains for their summer vacation. The main event is an annual river rafting race down a treacherous river, where the kids must compete against a trio of older, cheating bullies and their aggressive bobcat.
The central storylines include:

The Race: The boys' team (led reluctantly by Charlie Brown), the girls' team (operating by a strict, and often unhelpful, democracy led by Peppermint Patty), and Snoopy and Woodstock (who use a sail-equipped inner tube) all compete in the dangerous race.
The Bullies: The antagonists use dirty tricks, like changing signs to lead the other teams into hazardous areas, to ensure their victory.
Snoopy & Woodstock's Adventure: Snoopy and Woodstock get separated from the main group during a storm and have their own adventure trying to find their way back, with Woodstock eventually building a makeshift raft of twigs to win the race for his team.
Charlie Brown's Leadership: Throughout the challenges, Charlie Brown finds some inner strength and confidence, though typical Peanuts humor prevails when the bus leaves him behind at the end, forcing him to hitch a ride with Snoopy again.
