King Of The Jungle
Lobby Card King of the Jungle
is a 1933 American adventure film starring Buster Crabbe and Frances Dee. It is a pre-Code film from Paramount Pictures, often noted as a competitive production or "knockoff" of MGM's popular Tarzan, the Ape Man (1932).
Synopsis
The film tells the story of Kaspa, a white youth orphaned in the jungle and raised by a pride of lions. He is eventually captured by a safari and brought back to the United States to be an attraction in a circus, where he is known as "Kaspa the Lion Man".

Civilization: Kaspa escapes in San Francisco and meets Ann Rogers (Frances Dee), a schoolteacher who takes him in, teaches him English, and helps him adapt to civilization.
The Circus: Ann joins the circus to support Kaspa, who becomes a successful lion tamer using love and trust instead of whips or chairs.
Climax: The film's climax features a spectacular circus fire and subsequent elephant stampede through the city streets. Kaspa saves his beloved lions and ultimately decides that the jungle is where he belongs, returning to Africa with Ann.
