Procedures

Visual and microscope examination using light table, black light, and digital imaging, documentation by Lindsay Simmons of Poster Mountain. This poster was neither conserved nor restored by Poster Mountain.

Conclusion

Original half sheet, machine litho. Surface abrasions appear across the entire piece, there are minor tears at all sides and a vertical crease at center. There is significant overall planar distortion, a rippling of the paper, probably due to fluctuating environmental conditions. The reverse is dirty from handling. A red and black color Cine Monde stamp on the verso bleeds through to the lower left front. The edition number at lower right is concealed with paint.
This half sheet was treated in the past with basic conservation techniques: the multiple staple holes and tears have been burnished, and the four corners have been replaced with verso overlapping paper.
The corners have been airbrushed on the front and verso.
