FRANKENSTEIN
U.S. HALF SHEET, REALART RE-RELEASE FROM 1951, R51/683. This poster was not conserved or restored by Poster Mountain.
Half sheet has been backed with what appears to be a Japanese "Mulberry" paper. It was previously folded in quarters and retains two main creases, one vertical and one horizontal. Along the vertical fold line there are some air bubbles.
Half sheet has had some previous cosmetic restoration that is noticeable while under a blacklight. The border has been painted with airbrush, and there are minor colored pencil touch-ups as follows: inside the fold lines, in the skeleton's torso, the F, R, E (in the red underneath the letter as well), N (at center), and S in the word Frankenstein, the H in the word chill, the T in the word story, the word Blood, and the "Re" in Re-issue was removed.
A light table shows a few pin holes in the corners that have been filled. There are no other areas of paper loss.

Close up shot detailing some of the bubbling in the mount, most obvious just to the right side of the vertical fold line which runs through the "E". It is possible there may be structural delamination occurring in this area.
Silk screen "fingerprint" tag added on verso at lower left. The uniqueness of this tag has been herein documented. Below the tag, we've signed and dated in pencil (John Davis 4/13/2010)
