ALBUM HAD CELLOPHANE TAPE AROUND ALL 3 SIDES (ACTING AS SPINAL REINFORCEMENT) AND 4 VERTICAL PIECES ON THE BOTTOM WRAPPING TO THE BACK, AND 1 VERTICAL PIECE ON THE TOP LEFT WRAPPING TO THE BACK.
WITH COLORED PENCIL AND WATER COLOR RESTORATION TO THE TAPE-DAMAGED AREAS.
AFTER TAPE REMOVAL AND SPINAL REINFORCEMENT.
AS THE ALBUM WAS RECEIVED: CELLOPHANE TAPE IS ADHERED AROUND ALL SIDES AND ON THE BOTTOM AND TOP LEFT SIDE
Procedures
REMOVED TAPE USING A COMBINATION OF SOLVENT AND MECHANICAL REMOVAL. COLOR AND PAPER LOSS DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED UNDER THE AREAS WHERE THE TAPE HAD BEEN. THE SIDES WERE REINFORCED USING PVA AND PAPER. Minor restoration was performed on the front only using colored pencil and water-color.Conclusion
