Around the turn of the century
paper manufacturers began using wood-pulp fiber as an inexpensive material
to create a strong substrate used as a standard by poster print houses,
unfortunately because this paper is comprised of organic compounds it will
inevitably break down and decompose. However the life-span of aging paper
can be dramatically extended if properly treated and cared for.
At Poster Mountain we believe that advertising art is an
important part of our global cultural history and worthy of preservation. |
